Happy Anniversary!

Hello World and Happy Monday.
I am really excited because tomorrow February 26th, I will be celebrating six months of blogging. So I guess  it's safe to say, It's ADTales Anniversary.

Here's a quick recap. I introduced myself to the blogging world on 08/26/2012. You can see it here, Once Upon A Time. And I haven't looked back since.

My fall decorating posts kept viewers coming back for more, but the all time favorites were

 Easy Fall Table setting and

The last six months have been a blur but one thing is for sure, I LOVE blogging! But the technical side, not so much. (ugh!!!!!) I am becoming an expert on What Not To Do. Ebook coming soon. Lol!
As I was saying before I LOVE blogging, mainly because I get to help people. I come in contact with so many people who think they have to spend a fortune to create a beautiful home. That is so far from the truth. That's why I am here. With a little creativity, know how and a lot of thinking outside the box, I can help you create the home of your dreams.
In closing, I want to thank all of you for taking time out of your busy Mondays to drop by ADTale.
I do what I do because I love doing it. And the best part of all is, I get to share and help people all over the world. The future looks really bright for ADTale. How bright? It looks so bright sunglasses needed, but not required. Thanks for stopping by!
2 Your Home,
Lory
I would love to hear from you.  adtale@yahoo.com

Bar Stool Makeover

Hi all, this week I have another makeover. Last week's post was a chair makeover, this week it's bar stools. Here's a little history of how I acquired the bar stools. I have a friend named John who owns a thrift store. One day, while shopping in his store I purchased a beautiful 1920's sleigh bed. As I was leaving John informed me that he had a gift for me, since I purchased the bed. My response was, "for little ole me". As he scurried to the back of the store I WAS SO EXCITED and I couldn't wait to see what the gift was. When I saw the bar stools I was SPEECHLESS!!!!!! They were WICKED NASTY! But how could I resist them, they were a gift with purchase (free). And besides they had  great potential. I brought the stools home and got busy. First, they had to be disassembled. Next, I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed, so much so I was dizzE (dizzy). lol! I was in such a state of shock, I forgot to take a picture of the seat cushions. Trust me, you don't …

This too shall pass

Hi everyone,

It has been quite some time since my last post. Two years and four months to be exact, but who's counting. I am posting today to encourage/motivate you. Things are changing so rapidly in our society, and the coronavirus pandemic has most of us on edge. Some of us have never experienced anything of this magnitude, and the thought of illness, losing our jobs/everything we have worked for, and being isolated from family and friends can be quite scary, but be encouraged.

My prayer is that all will be well with you and yours. And that you will be intentional and live on purpose in the days and weeks ahead. Rest assured that this, too, shall pass!
