Christmas Tablesetting 2015

Only seven days left until Christmas, and I've only purchased one gift. So instead of dashing through the snow, I'll be dashing to the store . I figure I'll get all my shopping done this weekend. Then I am going to sit back and enjoy the Holiday. Ok now to the post. Since my Fall table was such a big hit with family and friends I decided I would use the table cover idea again. I kept the table some what simple this year. And I also managed to incorporate the colors from the entry way into the dining room. I used neutral fabric swatches for this table. And I think they look lovely next to all the shiny things on the table. I guess you can call this look laid-back luxe!   To incorporate the colors/ribbon from the entry way I simply wrapped two of the place settings with the same ribbon.   Enjoy the rest of the pics!     I added Christmas ornaments to the chandelier to up the ante a bit. Deck the Halls.....Christmas in the Foyer

Instead of the normal hustle and bustle that's associated with this time of year, I made a conscience decision to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the season. I also decided to scale way back on my Christmas decorating as well. I had no idea how I wanted to decorate. So I went into my decorating bag of tricks, and found some beautiful ribbon that was given to me by my sister. Thanks Rhonda! The colors in the ribbon are black, coppery brown, beige and of course a touch of animal print. I know, I know, these aren't traditional Christmas colors. But I'm the kind of girl that likes to color outside the lines, so bear with me! Once I had the color scheme down I went to work. The first thing I did was make the bows. Eye catching huh? And the rest of the décor sort of fell into place. The garland was repurposed from a chandelier I created several years ago. You can see it here . Instead of creating a swag with the garland, I decided to lay the garlan

T.G.I.F.... And A Fab Find

Happy Friday! Just popping in briefly to share "a fab find" that I stumbled upon a few weeks ago. I thought these chairs were absolutely amazing! And since they were priced to sell ($20 each)  I scooped them up and brought them home.   The chairs are super sturdy and the upholstery is in mint condition, however I do plan to have them reupholstered in the future. Not sure where I am going to put them, but they are keepers !   Have a fabulous Friday and a GREAT weekend!!!

Easy No Sew Table Cover

Happy hump day all! Since my Fall table cover made such a big hit with friends and family I decided I would show you how simple it was to create.   The table cover was created by using fabric samples. I played around with the swatches and came up with the configuration above, but you can do whatever you like. You can see my Fall table cover here.     I placed the first fabric sample on the table and after that the rest was history.         I kept adding swatches until the table was completely covered. How easy was that?       The different patterns, texture and colors makes this table totally eye catching. You like?     I wish all of you could see this table cover in person it is absolutely stunning!   Have a GREAT day!   Lory
