Small Cakes Thomasville Georgia

Winter has finally come to our neck of the woods. So today, I am actually sitting by the fire and enjoying a steamy cup of coffee, as I reminisce about a trip I took last summer. My daughter and I are like two peas in a pod. And every chance we get we like to plan weekend outings. On one of our outings we traveled to Thomasville Georgia and browsed the beautiful shops in the downtown area. When we get together we always make it a point to throw our healthy eating habits out of the window. That way we can enjoy a sweet treat or whatever else we want to eat without the guilt and all the pleasure. Our motto is "eat it and enjoy it". And that's exactly what we do. On this particular outing my daughter had the perfect place in mind. Her exact words were, "Mom you're going to love this place". So we headed to..........
Small Cakes Cupcakery
This is one of the most adorable places I have ever seen. So before we placed our order Alyson@smallcakesthomasvillegeorgia gave us a tour of this delectably quaint and cozy shop.

This shop is so adorable, and the décor is super cute.

I think this is a really sweet idea you can incorporate into your own home. Who wouldn't love a coffee station? And if coffee isn't your cup of tea, (no pun intended) this would be an super cool beverage station as well.

The sitting area in the back of this shop is so delightful. I love all the colors that were used in the design. Pink, purple, green, yellow, blue and orange work harmoniously together in this space. One thing's for certain they are not afraid of color. Yay!

The mantle is the perfect place to introduce more of the cupcake theme.

I love the mix of patterns used in this sitting area. The floral chevron and stripe prints work well together. Who knew?

Another cute place to sit and enjoy a cupcake/drink.

Small Cakes gets a big ole thumbs up from me. And a great big thank you to Alyson@smallcakesthomasvillegeorgia for being such an excellent hostess. So if you're ever in downtown Thomasville Georgia stop in and get a sweet treat. The cupcakes are quite yummy!

My Fall Table

There are only nine days left until Thanksgiving. And I am so excited because I get to share it with close friends and family. By the way, the grand baby will be here too! Yay! Ok, back to the post.   My Fall Table turned out quite lovely if I must say so myself. This year instead of using a table cloth, I used a variety of fabric samples swatches to cover the table. So, what do you think? I love all the different colors patterns and textures, and they actually play off each other nicely. And I am hoping the fabric sample table cover will be a great conversation starter as well. I will let you know how it goes. Spode  China and pumpkins from the Dollar Tree who knew? Initially the table had two fall wreaths and two lanterns. You can see it here. But I had to remove one of each to make room for the table settings. You know how I love animal print. I think every room needs a little touch of it. How about you?

Easy Last Minute Ideas For Fall

The count down has begun! Can you believe there are only 8 days left until the turkey is carved? So, today I figured I would share some easy last minute ideas to get you through Fall/Thanksgiving Holiday. So let's get started! These diy wreaths may look quite intimidating but on the contrary they aren't at all. To get this look you will need a grapevine wreath, garland of your choice, floral wire and ribbon. Simply take the garland and place it around the wreath. Once the garland is in place attach it to the wreath using floral wire. Next, add the bow and hang the wreath. Project complete! Your family and friends will be impressed. For best results make sure that the garland is long enough to cover the entire circumference of the wreath. If the wreath above is still a bit much, why not give this wreath a try? The only things needed are a grapevine wreath and ribbon of your choice. Now make a big bow and attach it to the wreath. Voila!  I used a pipe cleaner/chenille

How I decorated my Christmas Tree/Foyer for less than $30

I am over the super excited to bring you one of several posts revealing how I decorated my Christmas Tree/Foyer for less than $30.Yes,you heard me right. And I must say it looks quite fabulous, but before the reveal can take place, we have to go through the process. Sorry!!! So, keep reading to find out how I transformed the space for so little. Each year I try to incorporate creative ways to decorate my home on an extremely tight budget, and this year was no exception. But in order to get the ball rolling on this project, I needed some inspiration. Well, my inspiration came via a promise I made to my grand baby. I promised her that Zsa Zsa(that's me) would decorate a Christmas tree she would love. However, with that being said, I also knew the design/decor had to be whimsical and playful enough for her. But it also had to appeal to the adults in the family as well. (mainly me) So, I put my design thinking cap on and came up with a plan, that I thought would appeal to both partie
